A day in the life of your average geek....

So here it is. The soon to be outside of my soon to come new puter. Yah!!!!! And yes, I did just rip that from Newegg. If you don't shop there, you should. Nuff said. I have a few ideas about the inurds that shall be inside, but lets just say I have some schemes on how to get the money for the inurds. You see, I told the wife the other day that our old PC was on its last leg, so she said I could do some upgrades when tax time rolls around. Oh boy was that a dumb thing to tell me. I think I'll get about $350 from her to do with, but I am going to get about another $700 and make this a killer upgrade. Don't ask, I might have to kill you. Anyway. It looks like I get that RPG fix after all. I have a solid month before Oblivion, but I lucked out. I just won an eBay auction for Paper Mario for my old N64. Yah! I played on the rom for a bit before, but my crappy puter (see Geek Time for details) couldn't handle the emulation too well. Not that N64 emulation is all that great on any machine, but it did worst than most. Anywho. I got it. Now comes the waiting, but in about a week or so, I'll be hooked up till Oblivion. So, lets think about all that is going on in the world right now. UN is trying to wrestle the control of the internet away from us. Ya, that's gonna happen. I think they'll have to pry it from our cold, dead hands before we give up control of those DNS servers. Or any other major part of it. We built it for goodness sakes! This is it. I just can't take it anymore. I need some Oblivion. It is approximately one month before it comes out, and come hell or high water, I will own this game shortly after it is out. Why do you ask? Read the freakin title. I have been without a good RPG for some time now. I tried to play some Morrowind the other day to no avail. It held nothing new for me. I have beaten the main quest and become the head of all the guilds. I could pursue the vampires and either become one or destroy them, but come on, that just isn't enough of a challenge. I just want to wander the land of Cyrodil and seal up some of those freaking gates. Have you seen the latest game play footage they have over at fileplanet? Its twenty minutes in the world of Elder Scrolls and it looks beautiful. Everything can be manipulated. I mean just about everything you can mess with and have a real time reaction with. Its ranting time. I am really not going to have a good weekend. Atleast not the latter part of it anyway. After church Sunday, I travel home to celebrate my nanny's 70 birthday. A momentous occasion for a wonderful, and sweet woman, who helped raise me up. But unfortunately I have to deal with mom, and I get to deal with my uncle. He is a great sorta chap. Hasn't seen his mom in about 13 or 14 years. Sure he calls, but that's only on special occasions. But his happy butt will finally grace the halls once again. I don't know how long he'll be down, and I really don't care.
