So here we go....


Its ranting time. I am really not going to have a good weekend. Atleast not the latter part of it anyway. After church Sunday, I travel home to celebrate my nanny's 70 birthday. A momentous occasion for a wonderful, and sweet woman, who helped raise me up. But unfortunately I have to deal with mom, and I get to deal with my uncle. He is a great sorta chap. Hasn't seen his mom in about 13 or 14 years. Sure he calls, but that's only on special occasions. But his happy butt will finally grace the halls once again. I don't know how long he'll be down, and I really don't care. I know I sound hostile, and that's okay, because if you cherish your family as much as I do, you will really like what I have to tell you next. You see, he has already told my mom this would be his last time to come down. Ever. Yeah, not even if Nanny has three days to live and all she could ever want is to see her boy one last time, he won't be back down. He gave my mother some crap about not handling death well. Woopadedo! She told me that he hasn't ever gone to their dad's grave. Not once since he died over 30 years ago, and it looks like he never will unless he does while he's here this time. Its just crap. He doesn't have enough respect for his own mother and step dad to come to honor their memory when they pass on. I love my grandparents, and with that I know that they are getting old and will pass away in the next 10 to 15 years. And yes! That really does disturb me, because I really don't want to think of life without nanny and papa, but guess what, I will survive, and I will be here to honor their memory. I wouldn't be the favorite grandson if I didn't. :P But seriously, I just can't believe he even said that. I guess what really cheeses me off so much is that in the 24 years I have been on this earth, I only know of twice that he has come back to Sayre. Twice! And that seems to be enough for him. Crap! Crap I tell you. Anyway. Now that all that is out of my system. Have a nice day, and I'll post pics if I find anything good this weekend while at the townwide garage sale I will be going to. Till then.

Things to think about...

Weird day! I don't know why, but its weird. From the moment I woke up I knew that today would be odd. So far nothing has really said that, but I just feel weird. On my iGoogle page I subscribe to the Hack-A-Day widget, and love it. Most of the hacks are a little much for my liking. So that is to say, they take a chunk out of you day to make happen, depending on the project. But a few days ago is so simple, its sick. Its a multi-tool, or thats what the creator calls it. Ah yes. The words heard round the walls of my mind as the Lord's voice calls. Don't ever think that God doesn't have a sense of humor, because you would be wrong. Why is it that people seem so hell bent on doing it themselves? Why do we want to rely on our own powers so much? I ask myself this question because I realize that I do it more often then not. And the answer is, because its our nature as humans. Thats part of the fall I guess.
