Rut Ro Reorge!

Look over at my pic for my profile. See that guy, yeah, that guy is looking at things while they were easy. If I was to update that pic, you would see lines of worry and eyes filled with anguish. Why do you ask? Well, because the fecal matter is about to hit the proverbial rotary cooling unit. I sit here at work with news that just broke. Well, not news as much as possibility. I may be the full on IT Manager here before too much longer. Not really my idea, but a good one none the less. The only problem, the wicked witch of the west. She is the one who I answer to now, and it seems she may be stripped of all her power. The house shall fall it seems. Let me clue you in. I work at an electric coop. I am the IT guy. No one in the place understand a tenth of what I do, and I'm okay with that. I would like them to understand better, but thats okay. It means job security for me. Anyway. We have several directors. The director of operations, director of administrator, marketing, and PR. They are but one step below the General Manager. Well, there are varing degrees of steps between each of these factions. Well, our accountant, who is under the dir of admin, has come to me with info. Why is beyond me, but he has. The dir of admin has heart problems, and if you are a Christian please be in prayer for him, for he is only about 45 and needs a heart transplant, anyway. He has been gone for about two weeks, comes back for a few days, and this weekend his built in defib goes off because his heart stopped. Not cool. So he is gone again, and it looks like he won't be back in a full time position. Well, looks like our accountant will be keeping his primary and getting the dir of admin job as well. Well, he wants me out of underneith the dir of op. And let me tell you, this is not going to be pretty. I really don't want to think of what this will be like. Now there is good. The accountant will give me money to do stuff with, which will rock, but I really have no idea how the www will like it. I mean, it really doesn't matter if she likes it or not, but I really don't like people being mad at me. Anyway. I just needed to let that out. New puter is still running strong. I am going to look into an X2 as soon as I have the extra cash. I am also looking at doing some wireless internet installs, but thats another mess. Well, later.

Things to think about...

Weird day! I don't know why, but its weird. From the moment I woke up I knew that today would be odd. So far nothing has really said that, but I just feel weird. On my iGoogle page I subscribe to the Hack-A-Day widget, and love it. Most of the hacks are a little much for my liking. So that is to say, they take a chunk out of you day to make happen, depending on the project. But a few days ago is so simple, its sick. Its a multi-tool, or thats what the creator calls it. Ah yes. The words heard round the walls of my mind as the Lord's voice calls. Don't ever think that God doesn't have a sense of humor, because you would be wrong. Why is it that people seem so hell bent on doing it themselves? Why do we want to rely on our own powers so much? I ask myself this question because I realize that I do it more often then not. And the answer is, because its our nature as humans. Thats part of the fall I guess. Once we realized the difference between good and evil, the flaw was placed in our hearts and then we "thought" we knew something. I realize that there is a higher power, and I believe in Him today.
